This stakeholder report is submitted for Croatia’s Universal Periodic Review (UPR)
and addresses human trafficking—specifically the sexual exploitation of women—
violence against women with a focus on survivors of sexual violence during conflict,
and the rights of women who are refugees, asylum seekers, returnees, internally
displaced persons and foreign workers. The report highlights gaps in the
implementation of international human rights standards and provides
recommendations to strengthen Croatia’s response to these critical issues.
