THE ADVOCATES IN ACTION

When we come together in community, we become a powerful force for truth, justice, and human dignity. Minnesota is showing the country what moral courage looks like: neighbors protecting neighbors, communities resisting unlawful actions, and a shared commitment to transparency and the rule of law.

At this year’s gala, we honor that courage, and we recommit to the work ahead. Join us as we uplift the stories that must be heard and mobilize the support needed to continue protecting families, strengthening legal defense, and building the historical record that will shape accountability and healing for years to come.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER & DON AND ARVONNE FRASER HUMAN RIGHTS AWARD WINNER

We honor the Right Reverend Mariann Edgar Budde for her commitment to human rights and the dignity of all people, particularly for her public defense of immigrants, LGBTIQ+ individuals, and those excluded from power. Her book, How We Learn to Be Brave, describes the moments in our lives when we must act with courage and the importance of what we do afterward.

Rt. Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde
