This report addresses Antigua and Barbuda’s compliance with its human rights obligations
arising from its use of the death penalty. Antigua and Barbuda has not yet formally
abolished the death penalty, although the country observes a de facto moratorium on
executions. No individuals are currently under sentence of death and the last known
execution occurred in 1991.
