The Advocates Saddened by Death of Court Administrator Beth Baldwin
The Advocates for Human Rights is deeply saddened by the sudden
loss of Immigration Court Administrator Beth Baldwin. Ms. Baldwin brought a
deep commitment to access to justice to the Fort Snelling Immigration Court.
Her practical approach, compassionate spirit, and respect for human dignity will be sorely missed. As a public servant, Ms. Baldwin played her part in respecting, protecting, and fulfilling human rights.
Ms. Baldwin entered on duty at the Executive Office for
Immigration Review's Fort Snelling Immigration Court on September 13,
2021. Prior to her time with EOIR, among many prior assignments in
public service, Ms. Baldwin served as the Court Administrator for the Seattle
Municipal Court and as the District Court Administrator in Des Moines, Iowa,
for a 16-county district. Ms. Baldwin was a native Minnesotan with a
Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University, a Juris Doctorate from the
University of Minnesota, and a Masters of Public Administration from the Ohio
State University.
