This report addresses Uganda's compliance with its international human rights obligations with respect to the death penalty and torture. The report examines the current state of the death penalty in Uganda, as well as violations of the right to habeas corpus and the right to be free from torture and ill-treatment in Ugandan prisons, as well as detention conditions and counterterrorism policies.
