Programs: Refugee and Immigrant

As a Staff Attorney in the Refugee & Immigrant Program, Jillian provides direct legal services to individuals for a variety of immigration matters, including those seeking asylum, T-nonimmigrant status, and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status. In addition to her direct legal work, Jillian offers support to pro bono attorneys representing affirmative asylum seekers. She also aids in efforts to increase collaboration with community partners, promote greater awareness of legal rights, and enhance access to legal services for underserved populations.

She is motivated by a desire to help individuals, especially those fleeing persecution, assert their rights and navigate the complex immigration system. She is dedicated to providing support to those who have been marginalized or taken advantage of, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to protect themselves and build a safer future for themselves and their families.

She recently earned her J.D. from Drake University Law School, graduating with high honors and a concentration in Food & Agricultural Law. She obtained a B.A. in History from the University of Vermont in 2017.

Jillian is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
