Valeria Jacome

Valeria is a Program Associate with The Advocates' Women's Human Rights Program, where she is involved in domestic and international advocacy focused on women's rights and gender-based violence. In her role, Valeria conducts research and writing for UN advocacy efforts, supports the WATCH court observation project, oversees the StopVAW website, supervises intern hiring and projects, and assists with any other actions needed to support the Women's Program.
Valeria is motivated to elevate the voices of women and girls to local and international platforms that have the power to improve their situation. She strives to bring positive change, whether big or small.
Valeria earned a Master of Arts in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action from Sciences Po's Paris School of International Affairs. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs with a minor in Sociology from the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University.
