Case Summary: In 2015, Ms. CK joined the Southern Cameroons National Council (SCNC), a political group which advocates for fair treatment of Cameroon’s Anglophone population. Between 2017 and 2024, Ms. CK was arrested and detained at least three times because of her participation in this group. In detention, she was subjected to physical violence and denied access to food and water. Ms. CK has several friends who have disappeared because of their involvement with the SCNC. If she returns to Cameroon, Ms. CK fears the same thing will happen to her.
