First Friday Coffee & Case - An Update on Ethiopia
Type: Virtual
Issues: Asylum , Legal Representation , Migrant Rights
Join us in January for the First Friday Coffee & Case Discussion on Ethiopia. Many things
have changed in Ethiopia over the past year, and much continues to be in flux.
Unfortunately, the media has not covered the situation in all its complexities,
and it can be challenging to obtain reliable information on the ever-evolving
situation on the ground.
This month The Advocates welcomes Bahar Oumer from the Oromo Community of Minnesota to share his knowledge
and perspective on the current state of affairs, the cease fire, and how to
weigh the best options for your client's case in light of the ever-changing
situation.
Designed for new and existing volunteer attorneys, the First Friday Coffee & Case Discussion Series provides space to connect with other attorneys handling cases with similar topical issues. The Advocates staff will guide informal discussions related to the topic of the day and share timely information with group participants.
