Wednesday, September 29 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. CDT Minnehaha Regional Park, Wabun D 4655 46th Avenue South Minneapolis, MN 55406 Join us as we celebrate and support human rights. We will celebrate the achievements of the last year, including the release of many detained immigrants, reports to the United Nations on trafficking and labor exploitation in the United States, and the passage of a new law in Minnesota to better protect survivors of sexual assault. As part of the event, we will present the 2021 Gold WATCH Award to stakeholders who were instrumental in drafting and passing this new law. They have moved us closer to a judicial system which consistently protects the human rights of women and children. Learn more about the provisions in the new law here.
The House Party in the Park is an outdoor event held in a sheltered, open-air picnic area. We will closely monitor the local COVID-19 transmission rate and comply with all Minnesota Department of Health and CDC guidelines for the event. Please wear a mask when not actively eating or drinking and maintain physical distance from others as possible.
If you are not comfortable meeting in person, are not yet vaccinated, experience possible COVID-19 symptoms on the day of the event, or are otherwise unable to attend, please participate instead in our fall virtual events. Details will be announced later this month. 2021 Gold WATCH Award Recipients Rep. Kelly Moller Rep. Marion O'Neill Steering Committee, Criminal Sexual Conduct Statutory Reform Working Group
