Australian War Crimes Investigations

In this talk Dr. Melanie O’Brien will give an overview of the ‘Brereton Report,’ a report detailing war crimes committed by the Australian Defence Force during the War in Afghanistan between 2005 and 2016. She will critically detail the allegations and response, including the subsequent and ongoing investigations and charges. This event is hosted by the Human Rights Center, University of Minnesota Law School. Co-sponsored by the American Red Cross - Twin Cities Area, Advocates for Human Rights, and Global Minnesota. Dr. O’Brien is a Visiting Professor with the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies.
