People would call her a “satanist” and say that she was part of an American sect. Other people have tried to physically harm her, but she was able to escape. Since 2017, Jehovah’s Witnesses have been banned in Russia. She knows other Jehovah’s Witnesses who have been targeted by the Russian police and government because of their faith. If she returns to Russia, Ms. D fears she also will be arrested and imprisoned for her religious beliefs.
