Case Summary: Mr. O is a member of the Socialist Party Without Borders (PSF) in Chad. He has been a member since March 2023, and his role within the party was as a youth coordinator. In December 2023, there was one occasion where security forces approached him and told him that he needed to stop his political activities. He believes they were watching the party's headquarters and saw him going into and leaving their headquarters. In February 2024, the military raided the party's headquarters during a party meeting. Several members were arrested or killed, including the party's president. He was one of the few to escape. He fled the capital and went to live with a friend in a village about 85 kilometers away. The next day, his family told him that the military came to his home looking for him. When they couldn't find him, they arrested his brother, who he believes is still in prison. After about 2.5 months. His friend connected with another friend, who helped him get passport, plane ticket, and get through security to leave the country. He went to Cameroon, where he stayed a few days, before taking a series of flights to Nicaragua. From there, he took the southern route to the U.S.
